Millions of people in the world live food insecurity, so identifying a tuber with characteristics capable meeting demand for and also active compounds that can be used to minimize harm human health is great value. The aim was carry out review based on systematic tools main objective seek information botanical, food, pharmacological, phytochemical aspects Casimirella sp. propose possible applications. This showed papers addressed Mairá-potato presented suggestions using this allied described works found Google Academic, Scielo, Science Direct, Scopus, PubMed, Web databases. synthesized knowledge about contribute direction further research suggested technological applications, both use as polymeric material its biomaterial, encapsulation, bioactive use, 3D printing, because work collected non-conventional plant (PANC) shows potential various areas study.
